The Rotary Sail over event held at the Royal Yacht Squadron raised funds for the Ellen MacArthur Trust, where the Rotary Club handed over a cheque for £800.
We have supported Cowes Sailability club for several years. Founded in 2002 by Patrick de Peyer to help make sailing and boating accessible to Island residents, boating trips during Cowes Week is a fixture in the clubs events calendar, taking the disabled and their families or careers for exhilarating trips on “Wet Wheels” Geoff Holts 9 meter motor catamaran. The Cowes Small Ships Race is organised by ASTO in partnership with the Royal London Yacht Club and supported by Isle of Wight based organisations including the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes Yacht Haven, Herapath Shenton Trust, RLYC Youth Trust, Cowes Rotary, Delphie Lakeman Trust and others.
